Welcome to Bagel Joint

"Because I have not sufficiently honed the craft of writing, I cannot adequately express how much I love Bagel Joint. I also don't particularly need to do so, as whether or not I write this review, I will still be able to frequent Bagel Joint and enjoy the transcendent experience of a Bagel Joint bagel. So please understand, dear hypothetical reader, that I write this only on your behalf. I give this review selflessly, on off chance that perhaps because of this review you might at some point find yourself at this shop, enjoying a Bagel Joint bagel, and that you might derive the same joy from the experience that I do. Whether or not you have ever taken the time to appreciate the art of bagelmaking, know that the proprietors of Bagel Joint have. These are proper bagels, done exceptionally well, with no shortcuts taken, with every ingredient and step meticulously chosen and done. The owner really, really cares about great bagels, and you can feel it in every detail of the shop and the product. Their flavors are exceptional, both the bagels themselves and the schmear; they get a little playful and exotic, but never to the point that they feel like a gimmick or that they're compromising on the essential qualities of a damn good bagel. Try the scallion pancake cream cheese on a fresh fig and olive or piri piri: it's life-changing. Freshness brings up an important point, as well, as they constantly bake new batches throughout each day so nothing on the shelf is stale. First batch seems to come out around 8am, with the second I think around 3 hours later, and if you can I would try to time your visit around those times to really get the top-tier experience. While I've visited many times I have yet to venture away from bagel+schmear into bialys, sandwiches, etc, nor had anything to drink other than their (excellent) drip coffee. It's hard to feel like wandering when the core experience is as immaculate. That said, my friends have tried other things and assure me that they are, at least, quite good. All of this to say, you should go to Bagel Joint. Or don't. For my part, a weight is lifted from my shoulders; I am free, that I have done my part to spread the Good Word. And in my freedom, I will likely find myself once again at Bagel Joint, enjoying a perfect bagel."

"This place has amazing unique flavored bagels! Definitely a little pricier than normal. Bakeries but it has that nice trendy vibe. That Schmear smell on the sandwich will definitely linger on your fingers all day. No complaints here."
