"Pleasant coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the USF campus. I live nearby, but only visit occasionally since I'm usually headed downtown. If you're looking for a quiet spot to have coffee outside or inside, this is one of the best places south of downtown near the water. The atmosphere is less institutional than Kahwa in the student center, and less corporate than Starbucks in the Hilton. The outside seating is relaxing, unlike the coffee shop at the USF bookstore, which has only a few uncomfortable metal tables with attached chairs along busy 5th Ave S. How is the coffee? I can only comment on the regular latte, which is very good. They also offer the obligatory sugary drinks masquerading as coffee that many Americans prefer. Speaking of sugar, one quibble: The multigrain bread is sweet (as is often the case). I'd recommend choosing something else if you enjoy a savory sandwich such as the bacon, egg, spinach and tomato (BEST). Occasionally there can be issues with smoke outside. For dinner check out The Tavern next door. It has live music, and the grouper is great."

"Being right next to the USFSP campus is such a win for students. Of course, if you’re a student you have to use your own resources to get food here, but the food here is good and the environment is super cozy and welcoming. Great for just a nice relaxing lounge, sit and eat while working on some schoolwork or whatever. Their seasonal beverages are always a hit, especially their refreshers. Overall, I really recommend this place if you’re looking for a nice chill and relaxing place to eat and get some work done. Both the inside and outdoor seating is really nice. The food is okay, nothing crazy, but hits the spot perfectly. Customer service is always easy and the people working are super nice and chill."
